Resumo: | Dear reader, Have you ever imagined the challenges of doing research during a pandemic? And the physical and mental obstacles of reading a text or even a book? And, still, I say, reading assuming a decolonial posture, looking for another form of analysis that is not extracting information. At first, the word challenge may seem bad, surrounded by adversity, but it can also indicate openness to new possibilities. In this Master’s Thesis, you will find the search for ways to face the challenges of decolonially reading paradidactic mathematics books intended for Basic Education and my constitution as a researcher during the Covid-19 pandemic. I can say that, among all the objectives, the main is my construction as a reader, assuming a decolonial stance in the midst of a pandemic scenario. To achieve this objective, there will be several paths, including a letter (adapted from a book’s preface) that will motivate research that will make evident the coloniality relations on the knowledge of Brazilian students, with a control over the production and circulation of books in our country, including the creation of different categories, such as paradidactic books. Then, these books will be discussed and presented as a strategy of resistance to colonial visions of mathematics, by encouraging creativity and critical reflection, with the creation of other stories and other characters to present other mathematics. As for the chosen methodology, many possibilities will be presented. I remind you: the methodology is done on the way, with research, so it will always be possible to find it. Dear reader, you will see that writing was done by many hands, in polyphony. As I value the participation of readers in the text, I invite you to interact, accessing the website that is part of this writing, the books and videos that helped, and still help, to constitute me as a reader. I hope that, like me, you are invited to think: what (mathematic) stories do you tell? If you need to search for keywords, I suggest you use: Formation of a reading. Mathematic paradidactic books; Brazilian publishing market; Decolonial reading. Good reading! Luana Lima. |
