Resumo: |
Every phenomenon concentrates the possibility of being interpreted in its appearance by the sense and the meanings of it unfolded in reason of the Dasein can understand the world and what is in it. In his genuine showing, a phenomenon unveils itself to a look tuning its being and appearance. This study of a qualitative nature and phenomenological approach, also based on a field research, presents understandings about the meanings of the dance for the elderly who participate in the dance around the bandstand in Pedro Sanches Square in the city of Poços de Caldas, MG. In the study of the phenomenon, the objective too, in a specific way, to present a possible relationship between the dance of these elderly people and their life moment, and to discuss if the experience with dance can infer in the lifestyle and well-being of the elderly. Participate in the study four (4) elderly people over 60 years of age, born and resident in the municipality of Poços de Caldas, MG and dancing for more than 01 (one) year at the dance performed around the bandstand of Pedro Sanches Square. The information was collected through an individual interview recorded and guided by a semi-structured questionnaire. After transcribed, the information given by the participants were analyzed based on the phenomenological method of investigation as proposed by Heidegger and with approximation to some perspectives of Environmental Psychology, seeking to elicit intersections between these references in the treatment of the studied reality. It was understood that the dancers, experiencing the dance around the bandstand, express themselves in a singular way in the domains of their being from the sharing of the same place, the same songs and diverse affections with other people. In this experience, they live together waving to one integrated into a yesterday and a tomorrow. They also discourse, dialogue, talk about living and being that is exercised and exercising in each spin. They seize themselves from the other and in the other, and they keep on waiting for the next meetings. After all, each new encounter retains the embryo of the constant building itself-with-the-others-in-the-world. Thus, for the elderly interviewed, dancing around the bandstand of Pedro Sanches Square is constancy, it is a permane-Being, a continuing existence, flow and movement of life that emblematizes aging in its relationship with envelhe-being. The study is one of the productions of the Research Project "Sustainable lifestyle: contributions of Environmental Psychology to the well-being, quality of life and health" coordinated by Dr. Marlise Aparecida Bassani from the year 2012 at the Contemporary Settings of the core Psychological Clinic, Program of Post-Graduate Studies in Clinical Psychology, Pontifícia Universidade Católica de São Paulo (PUC-SP).
