Resumo: The master's thesis proposes to discuss the right to defense in the criminal process rite of the Jury Court.To study the theme, the concept of the Jury Tribunal, its origins and historical insertion will be described. Secondly, a research focuses on the principles that guide the right to defense in the constitutional criminal process, such as isonomy, wide-ranging defense (personal, technical and right to silence), access to justice and legal assistance. Then, in the third chapter, he proposes to question, studying all the stages of the jury's plenary session, whether or not there is the effectiveness of the right of defense to the vulnerable citizen and, whether this right is, or not, on par with weapons with the ministerial prosecution. In the fourth and final chapter, a proposal will be to discuss the means of access to the effectiveness of the right object of this research, in the Rite of the Court of the Jury. Furthermore, starting from the guarantee premise of the constitutional penal process and, consequently, analyzing the jury court as an instrument of constitutional guarantee of the accused person; this research tries to answer, in the end, the following question: is the defense effective for the most vulnerable in this procedural rite? Finally, after analyzing the bibliography, the elementary points will become probable in order to achieve the answer to the present research
