Resumo: The following research aims to interrogate positions within the scope of Psychoanalysis (institutional or authoral positions) that postulated homosexuality in a moralizing and normative way, pathologizing it. To this end, the resumption of Freudian and Lacanian propositions about sexuality will be made, with special attention to propositions about homosexuality; also studying the positions of psychoanalysts and institutional events which reveal a homophobic and pathologizing logic. This research will be divided into three moments: first, we will outline a brief history of homosexuality, focusing more on the modern period and the place which this sexual modality received in some discourses; at the second moment, we will briefly resume the history of homosexuality in psychoanalytic institutions, showing the position given to patients and candidate analysts; finally, we will use the sexuation theory and the sexual constitution of the subjects with a double function: an investigation about the subject’s sexual constitution and, beyond that, as a response to the imperatives which aimed to prune the plural ways of experiencing sexuality, including showing how heterosexuality, as well as homosexuality, is also a response to the fact that there is no relationship between the sexes, and, based on psychoanalytic theory, it is also an issue to be investigated. Thus, we will use Freud's and Lacan's propositions as promoters of positions in relation to positions directed by a (hetero)normative logic - which led us to conclude that in addition to the Freudian theory providing bases to disrupt with a normative logic of sexuality, the Lacanian theory, especially when using sexuation, provides crucial tools to question any molds that aim to trim sexualities
