Method: got up the quality of adaptive efficacy of eight basketball players of the sub19 aged between 18 and 19 years, all male and high school level, through clinical preventive interviews - EDAO (Operational Adaptive Diagnostic Scale). The performance was verified from the statistics of Technical Efficiency of Basketball Federation in seven games. The results indicated a considerable balance in relation to adaptive qualities shown by the athletes at the time of preventive clinical interview, two among the eight respondents resulted in effective adaptation; two were classified into mild ineffective adaptation and ineffective adaptation moderate in four. The analysis indicated EDAO optimum and good prognosis are 50% of the sample and prognosis regular 50% of the sample. The results of this study regarding the quality of adaptation and involvement in athletic performance (technical efficiency) show possible relation.
