Resumo: This thesis has as base the argument that defends the colonization of a religious organization that operates in the private educational market in search of success. The statement is based on the preparation of the theoretical framework on the historical trajectory of the Congregation of the Capuchin Missionary Sisters (IMC), founded in 1904, until the year 2016, and the contradictions which they have experienced. Theoretical reflection focused primarily on the effort to grasp Habermas's work and the paradigm shift proposed by Habermas, via language. The confirmation of the argument was made through a historiographical research carried out in the BMI. The whole process of historical and empirical construction was based on the Habermasian perspective. Based on the set of primary and secondary data, the work reconstructed the historical trajectory of the BMI, in which the contradictions that explain the colonization of the world of the Consecrated Sisters' life are identified, with the economic dimension invading the discursive ethics of vocational life, and with the market redefining its basic values, colonizing the life of the members of the organization. In general, it was in the historical context in which the IMC is inserted, that facts that can be considered inflection points have been identified, since they indicate the adjustment of the organization to the logic of the systemic world.
