Resumo: Accessibility refers to the possibility of independence and autonomy for anyone, with or without disabilities, to the reach and use of public and private spaces. The main objective of this work is to evaluate the accessibility of different types of public urban equipment, in the city of Curitiba, based on the Brazilian accessibility standard, NBR 9050/2015. The methodology used to verify accessibility in urban equipment, used a checklist, adapted from the Accessibility Checklist contained in Annex 1 of the Normative Instruction MPOG No. 2, of 2017, which deals with the establishment of rules and guidelines for accessibility to be observed in engineering works and services funded with funds from agreements and onlending contracts. An on-site accessibility check was carried out on 3 (three) Streets of Citizenship, 3 (three) Municipal Public Cemeteries, 3 (three) Urban bus terminals, the Municipal Market, the Paraná Public Library and the Road Terminal, in the city of Curitiba. The results show that many places and objects do not apply for verification due to the nonexistence of the item due to the inapplicability of the item to urban equipment, or the lack of the item causing inaccessibility to it. The percentage of adherence to accessibility requirements, of verifiable items, was higher than 60% in the 12 (twelve) public facilities analyzed. The critical points of non-adherence to the observed accessibility requirements are the absence of tactile floors and adapted bathrooms with all the elements of safety for users.
