Diabetes mellitus em uma perspectiva de complexidade : uma proposta de projeto transdisciplinar

Resumo: The Brazilian Education Ministry, through Parâmetros Curriculares Nacionais (PCN), has considered improvements for the Brazilian educational system, which include the substitution of current education, based in one practical of given contents of fragmented form and descontextualizated, for an applied systemic view. Moreover, the PCN can subsidize teachers who would like to change their practical activity, what means to substitute an education based on the accumulation of contents for the pupils for other methodologies that provide a significant learning. The objective of this research was to develop teaching abilities to implement transdisciplinar projects on the transversal subject Health in high school. The subject "Diabetes Mellitus", in a transdisciplinar perspective was worked by six professors of different areas and two nurses. The abilities developed for these professionals had been analyzed from interviews on the previous knowledge and after reading/discussion of texts specialized on linear, systemic and complex views, transdisciplinarity and education for transdisciplinar projects. The development of the transdisciplinar projects was evaluated during its implementation in classroom and the results showed that the professors had developed some abilities necessary their execution. The conclusion is that the use of describers of abilities as a tool in the execution and implementation of projects transdisciplinares in classroom contributes strongly to improve theaching practice.
