Resumo: |
Nazism occurred in several countries of the world through the “branches” of the German Nazi Party. In Brazil, it is estimated that a total of seventeen states housed Nazi party “affiliates” and “sub-affiliates” during the course of the 1930s, including Pernambuco. Simultaneously, a national political-partisan movement emerged in the country that stood out for the theoretical-methodological alignment with European fascisms: the Ação Integralista Brasileira (AIB). In Pernambuco, the documentation produced by Delegacia de Ordem Política e Social (DOPSPE), as well as some newspapers of that time (Diário de Pernambuco, Jornal Pequeno), suggested a significant collaboration of the AIB with the activities of the Nazi Party, which deals with issues related to Nazi publicity and espionage in the country during World War II. Therefore, the present work carried out an analysis of the Nazi Party actions in Pernambuco, highlighting the presence of the AIB in this process from 1938 to 1945. As such, we analyzed both movements and their actions in the political scenario of the Estado Novo and the World War II, in an authoritarian and repressive logic that was possible by the current state of exception. |
