Resumo: |
In this work, Data Envelopment Analysis was used to evaluate efficiency of marine shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei culture winth freshwater systems, considering relation between output variables (production and final mean weight) and input variables (culture production time, post larvae quantity, pond area, ration quantity), offered (pH, water transparency, ration brand and post larva e hatchery gounce). The database used for this study belongs to a commercial farm at Rio Grande do Norte – Brasil, composed of 115 observations collected from August 2008 to October 2005. Application of DEA indicates that 24 cultures were efficient, while 91 were not efficienty (efficiency less then). For each of the inefficient cultures individual efficiency optimization goals were established. It was also found that among the exogenous variables only temperature was related with the production efficiency in terms of final mean weignt shrimp, while dissolved oxygen pH, water transparency, ration brand and post larvae source do not demonstrate significant relevance (p ≥ 0,05). |
