Resumo: The purpose of this comparative work is to study, through exploratory qualitative and quantitative research approaches, how the entrepreneurship education is taught in undergraduate administration courses of the IES from Salvador, and in this work 38 IES (Higher Education Institution) were surveyed. The theoretical framework for this study consists of the study of the concept of entrepreneur and its historical evolution; the definitions, the classifications and the most common characteristics to describe the entrepreneur; the role of the entrepreneur in society; and how it has been thought the formal education of entrepreneurs in IES. The specific objectives are: to determine what the approaches used by IES in curricular structures related to entrepreneurship are; to analyze comparatively the compositional contents of required disciplines in entrepreneurship, emphasizing the most prominent ones, and to analyze the teachers of the specific required disciplines in entrepreneurship focusing on their academic and professional training and their perception of the entrepreneurship education. As data collection instruments, a form and two questionnaires were used; the form intended to qualify the IES and to determine the coordinators of the classroom courses in business; the first questionnaire intended to determine the approach used in entrepreneurship education in IES, analysing the curriculum, the name and the phases, the required disciplines and the specific disciplines in entrepreneurship courses, their summaries and bibliographies, and to determine their respective teachers; the second questionnaire intended to qualify and to identify the coordinators perceptions and the teacher s perception of the specific required disciplines in entrepreneurship education. The general conclusion of this work is the existence of a strong convergence of the IES to the following topics: most IES from Salvador have a required specific discipline in entrepreneurship; these disciplines have a very similar content, bibliography and curriculum offered to students, and the academic training, the experience and the perception of most teachers are significantly homogeneous. Moreover, according to the data presented in this work, in general the results observed in Salvador are similar to the results observed in researches done in the South, what indicates a syntony between Salvador and the academic perspective of the other knowledge centers of the country. Finally, it is recommended further studies in order to consolidate the entrepreneurship education, especially studies aimed at evaluating the effectiveness of teaching in terms of building skills and abilities.
