Resumo: The complexity and changes in economic, political and social contexts occur with a certain frequency, being important and necessary, to analyze and evaluate how studies in the organizational field, particularly in Organizational Commitment (OC) and Entrepreneurship, dedicating themselves to Entrepreneurial Competencies (EC) and Entrepreneurial Intention (EI) can contribute to Junior Enterprises (JEs), grounding the importance of debating the role of this scenario. Thus, the aim of the present work is to verify if OC and EC are predictors of EI among members of Junior Enterprises. It’s about a correlational, descriptive, of a transversal nature research with all variables defined and accessed at the micro level. The survey uses structured self-report instruments, multidimensional for OC and EC and unidimensional for EI, with evidence of validity and a five-points Likert response scale of five to measure OC and EI and 11 for EC. The convenience sample consisted of 171 junior entrepreneurs, mostly women (n=115), predominant area of knowledge Engineering (n=69), with an average age of 21,39 years (SD= 2,60) and average time of Junior Enterprise of 13,39 months (SD= 9,63). The mean obtained by the participants in all dimensions of the investigated variables was higher than the midpoint except for Instrumental Commitment. The Multiple Regression analysis resulted in a statistically significant model, with a predictive power of 15% (F= 2,67; p< 0,01; R2= 0,15), with the significant contribution coming from the Normative Commitment (β= -0,19; p< 0,05), Instrumental Commitment (β= 0,20; p < 0,05) and Business Competence (β= 0,25; p< 0,05). Thus, the present study brings new reflections, advancing in the understanding of variables related to Entrepreneurship, in order to provide a theoretical and empirical framework for the effective development of young entrepreneurs, weighing the role played by Junior Enterprises in professional development, economic growth, promotion of innovation and improving the provision of services to society.
