Resumo: | The objective of this study is to assess the postural stability and functional quality in patients undergoing ACL reconstruction with and without preservation of the injured remaining in the pre and post-operative through balancing measures and functional questionnaire. Methods: 18 patients underwent ACL reconstruction, and separated into two groups according to the preservation or not of the remnant. Group I underwent ACL reconstruction with preservation of remaining with 10 patients; Group II underwent ACL reconstruction without preservation of the remaining 8 patients. All were assessed using the Lysholm score and force platform. Results: The group with preservation of the remaining showed improved subjective and objective, statistically significant, both in three months, as in 6 months when compared to the group without preservation. Conclusion: The remnant’s preservation showed accelerate the recovery of postural stability and functional quality of the patients, shortening the turnaround time their usual activities. |
