Resumo: This work aims at discussing upon the features of child and adulthood psychosis structure. It is based on Lacan's considerations about the subject, the structure and the Other. The author understands the subject as structured through/by language, which precedes the subject. Therefore, this work discusses the way the subject and the psychosis is aprehended. The subjective structure is defined in relation to the Big Other and the similar other and can be determined by the way this subject responds to the issues derived from the symbolic, being the last the cause of the first through desire. Another fundamental pressuposition is that psychosis is a subject's response to the words that come from the Other, it is a singular way to establish a language bond, hence, psychosis cannot be viewed the same way as other clinic cases. Such a subjective structure is presented here as a paradigm of the subject constitution. Based on the three registers Lacan divised real, symbolic and imaginary -, this research intends to study how psychosis is structured, considering childhood and adulthood. We have interviewed both psychotic children's parents and adults. Thus, due to the analysis of the interviews, we have established, in each case, hypothesis about specific ways of the subjects' and parents' psychic work as well as the way the subject is aprehended by the Other. Three cases have been analysed: two children and an adult. The psychoanalitical method was applied both with the interviews and for the analysis of the results. The analysis of the interviews presented the subjects' and the parents' life stories and described some determinant factors to the manifestation of psychosis appearance in these cases. We could conclude that, despite a general mechanism already described in the psychoanalysis literature, psychosis presents some specific traits in children. Real, symbolic and imaginary are not articulated the same way in the psychotic child and adult. The precocious hole in the symbolic register does not allow the child to constitute him/herself, what makes the articulation of the three registers impossible. Adult psychosis, which can be determined through onset, on the other hand, might allow the subject a certain entangling of the three registers, something impossible in children.
