Resumo: | ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to investigate the degradation of teaching work in schools in the city of Uberlândia/MG. To understand this objective, we started the analyses by means of the constitution of the municipality, in which it has in its history, members who interacted and interact with the regional and national political scene in an active way, which constituted the ideological formation of the managers of the municipality. We conducted a bibliographic research, through data requests on the attestations filed by teachers, together with the Municipality of Uberlândia, in the Directorate of Management of Person/SMA, to confront and articulate with research already published and referenced, related to the theme, supporting our objectives. The time frame of this research was 2009 to 2019, which was justified by the time elapsed in the drafting of the Law of Guidelines and Bases of Education/96 and the Fund for the Maintenance and Development of Basic Education and Valorization of Education Professionals, which aims at the valorization of education and of professionals. The certificates collected totaled 98,335, and of all the Cids, as the focus is on working conditions, we concentrated on those related to work wear, these totaled 27,580, a significant number, compared to the number of professionals per year, in 2016 it would be as if 92.72% of teachers had issued at least one certificate, in these numbers are attested related to psychological diseases like depression, anxiety and burnout syndrome, motor diseases linked to bone structures and nerves, as “LER/Dort”. We conclude that the degradation of teaching work is real and can be seen and proven empirically and theoretically, teachers are getting sicker by the day, such diseases are caused to a large extent by the bourgeois ideology that a school functions as a company, seeking to achieve goals and qualities, when we know that education cannot be measured in the same proportion or time of manufacture of a part or commodity, and that on the other hand no prevention policy is implemented, as much as accompanying these professionals.
