Resumo: |
This dissertation is compound of three studies related to the theme of precarization of work. In the first study, it was made a systematic review of published articles about the precarization of work in Brazil between the years of 2004 and 2014, using two databases (Scielo and Pepsic), with the objective of identifying trends and gaps to design a research agenda which stimulates researchers. It was made the bibliometric analyses and of its content of 17 articles that filled the inclusion criteria of this research. The assessments carried out contributed to an overview of trends and production gaps involving the precarization of work and identified prospects for studies to expand the understanding of the phenomenon and its impact on the individual while being psychosocial. The second study consisted of an investigation of the perception of job precarization by the nursing staff of a hospital in the State of Sergipe, Brazil. With that objetive in mind, it was carried out a new validation of the Inventory Precarious Employment. The instrument was applied to 279 professionals, presenting adequate psychometric indexes concerning to validity and reliability. From the Principal Axis Factoring, oblique rotation Promax, it was extracted two factors (Occupational Health and Justice - OH & J: α = 0.87; Labour Relations - LR: α = 0.67) that explain 19.09% of the variance of the data. The average scores shows that the investigated sample do not consider appropriate and safe the working conditions at the hospital, not even fair the existing exchanges between employer and employee (M = 1.5, SD = 0.52), although recognized as reasonable for the human management practices and to the compliance with the labor responsibilities (M = 2.0, SD = 0.51). That result corroborates the necessity of the interventions with the studied participants in order to minimize / reverse the identified diagnosis. The study 3 primarily aimed to examine the association among job precarization, social support at work and organizational retaliation in the same sample of workers of the study 2. Only the OH & J factor of the scale of job precarization and the Support Perception Instrumental factor - SSINS of the social support scale in the work revealed explanations for the behaviors of organizational retaliation. While the OH & J factor includes the provision of material conditions for the work and the perception of fairness in existing exchanges between employer and employee, the SSINS is focused specifically on the tangible aid that the company offers, such as material, technical, financial and management resources. Faced with that situation, the assumption is that the concrete aspects experienced at work environment influences the occurrence of retaliatory behaviors, which indicates the importance of the researched institution to assess whether their organizational practices are effectively providing the necessary conditions for the proper performance of their employees, their satisfaction and well-being. |
