Resumo: | The present work lends itself to investigate the way in which the United Nations Organization has approached the State's international civil liability for transnational environmental damage. For this, the deductive method was used, starting from generic debates on International Environmental Law, introducing key concepts, discussing the evolution of these norms, and working on its main principles, going through considerations about civil liability international, using as a basis the Project of the United Nations Commission on International Law on International Responsibility of States for International Offenses, and at the end, arrive at a specific discussion on how the United Nations Organization has worked on this theme, whether at to propose congresses and conferences on international responsibility and International Environmental Law, stimulating cooperation between States, either through its main judicial body (the International Court of Justice), the latter being demonstrated through the study of the cases that have been brought to court and deal with this subject. |
