Resumo: La Biennale di Venezia - cultural institution responsible for the existence of the oldest art biennale and prestigious international architecture exhibition - is the guiding principle of this work. Although architecture was constantly present at the Venice Art Biennials, an exhibition especially focused on architecture just only happened after 1980. These international exhibitions are ways of disseminating art and architecture as subjects of public interest and for this reason are consolidated as a space open to the various renewal tendencies in these areas, welcoming the transformation over time of aesthetic, cultural, political, social and economic values. In this context, the objective of this research is the analysis of the Brazilian representations in the Biennials of Architecture of Venice. The work cover the achievements produced in the specific architectural shows that took place between 1980 and 2016, investigating architects, works and curatorial proposals and observing their relation with the theme proposed by the Venice Biennal.
