Resumo: This dissertation has as its theme the reception of the person in psychic crisis (PCP). The general objective was to map as workers of a Emergency Care Unit (UPA) in the interior of the state of Rio Grande do Sul receive people in psychic crisis and for specific objectives analyze the orientations of public health policies aimed at workers to welcome the PCP ; to analyze how the workers of a UPA produce the experience of welcoming to the CFP and to question the ways of receiving the workers of a UPA in relation to the CFP. This research is justified because the attention to PCP is still a key point for health services including the UPAs and because there are few studies addressing this theme in urgency and emergency units. Its method is characterized by a participatory intervention research with cartographic inspiration approach. Held in a UPA in the interior of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, where the participants were the support workers (receptionists and porters), health workers (nursing technicians, nurses and doctors) and management (managers), present in the shifts. field visits were carried out from May to July 2019. For data production, the first specific objective for documentary research was used and the subsequent objectives were the field diary, which recorded conversations. information, participant observations and joint actions with workers. As a result, three articles were prepared: “Welcoming the Psychic Crisis: Subjectivation of Workers by Public Policies”, which analyzed the processes of subjectivity of UPA workers in the exercise of welcoming PCP through public health policies, implemented by the Public Health System. Unified Health (SUS), in which it was found that they can build certain discourses and practices that shape ways of doing work with psychological distress in emergency situations. The second article, “Whose crisis is it? implications of welcoming psychic suffering in a UPA ”it was found that the spaces and procedures performed by workers, as well as the forms of interventions are protocoled. What causes discomfort in professionals, mobilizing feelings that are not considered in the workplace. And the third article, “Psychic Crisis in a UPA: clues to a differentiated reception” demonstrates that the act of welcoming is a powerful tool, as it provides communication, listening and bonding, providing a better understanding of the case. As final considerations, we highlight the fragility of permanent education spaces that provide workers with moments of reflection, problematization and discussion of specific cases of attention to PCO. Therefore, the theme of welcoming the PCP is still a key point for the UPAs in which it is necessary to review the modes of action, in order to stimulate other forms of intervention beyond those only protocol focused on the biomedical model.
