The Edmundo Cardoso House of Memory is a non-profit institution that has the mission to serve through the preservation of the city's memory for studying, research, elaboration of exhibitions (itinerant, long and short duration) and its collection dissemination the community problem is associated with the institution's management and documentation practices. To answer our questions this study seeks to analyze and understand administrative and organizational aspects of the Edmundo Cardoso Memory House, with the objective of promoting the elaboration of a management planning, by making a situational diagnosis of the institution, in order to propose solutions to problems and weaknesses regarding the organization of the memory house. To this end, we highlight its positive and negative points and launched some propositions of organization and structure of the institution. Therefore, the product of this study is the elaboration of a situational diagnosis as a subsidy for the museum plan of the Edmundo Cardoso Memory House – CMEC.
