Resumo: This study was developed together with the Postgraduate Program in Professional and Technological Education of the Santa Maria Industrial Technical College (CTISM) of the Federal University of Santa Maria, Academic Master's Degree, research line in Innovation for Vocational and Technological Education. The general objective was to investigate whether Active Methodologies, used with non-digital didactic resources in teaching practice, can alleviate the lack of technology in the Technical Course of the Secretariat of the State School of High School and Technical Teacher Maria Rocha, located in Santa Maria / RS, Brazil. due to the scarcity of investments by the state. The relevance of the study is justified by investigating a proposal of insertion of Active Methodologies to soften the technological absence. A qualitative case study design was used. The data were analyzed through the general strategy based on the theoretical propositions and we concluded that the application of Active Methodologies with non-digital didactic resources played an essential role for a participative teaching, breaking with unattractive methods and minimizing the technological needs.
