Resumo: The main goal of this thesis is to analyze the experiences of professors and students graduating from the Licentiate degree in Physical Education, linked to the Department of Physical Education (DPE) of the Federal University of Sergipe (FUS), and To the approach of the differences and importance of the discussions on the subjects of gender and sexuality in and for the teacher training. In the operationalization of the research, it was understood that the analysis of the relationship between physical education, university culture, gender, sexuality and teacher training, allows the interlocution with the historical-critical approach. The methodological option was applied to the case study with a qualitative approach, using different sources of bibliographical and documentary information (laws, resolutions, opinions, decrees, ordinances, offices, annals, monographs, minutes of meetings, graduation of FUS). Semi-structured interviews were carried out with the professors and students completing the DEF / FUS Licentiate course. The results of the research emphasize that the themes of gender and sexuality diversity are necessary and essential knowledge in and for teacher education, in order to minimize prejudice, discrimination and taboo in society. However, discussions on such issues are still neglected in the DEF / FUS Licensing course. The fact that the DEF / FUS degree teachers discuss transversally in a light and superficial manner the themes of gender and sexuality in some classes in the undergraduate course are not enough to make the competent students And skilled to be able to deal with the security and depth that require such questions (categories) in the classroom in basic education, because they are knowledge that alter human identities, mentalities and behaviors, as well as cultures. The current reality shows us how slowly we are walking, with this, the importance of placing gender and sexuality on the public education policy agenda, particularly in the permanent training of the Bachelor's degree Time, at every level of education.
