The Vocational and Technological Education, in various forms of education, is of great importance in the development of the Brazilian industry, thanks to its paper in hand training of skilled labor to work. This study had as its central objective to investigate where the graduates of technical courses in Electromechanical of the Federal Institute of Sergipe (IFS), Campus Lagarto. The graduates of research Electromechanical course is justified because it is of course with higher demand and, consequently, one that, in theory, more employed in companies in the region where is located the campus. a survey of students who completed the course in the period between 2010.1 and 2014.2 and were applied 194 questionnaires, the media, which speeded responses and facilitated receive them was done. As soon as were received electronically, the responses were tabulated and analyzed according to the proposed objectives. Students from public schools, graduates work and study in order to ensure employability, has continuity with other courses are technical courses or higher education and post-graduate courses in areas related to Electromechanics course, show satisfaction with the average salary in companies the food industry and assess how good the training of teachers of the federal network. It is the area of mechanics that qualifies them to work, the need to manutencistas, lacking electrical / electronic knowledge to work with ease in the new technologies of the productive sector. It was concluded that the stage is an important tool in training but, for lack of standardized processes and integration with the industries of the region, the IFS does not completely meet the needs of future professionals. Nevertheless, it was evident the importance of technical training offered to the communities of meso wild and east Sergipe, through the IFS - Campus Lagarto, from the perspective of both the insertion into the labor market, as well as the possibilities that have more comfortable conditions stability or labor mobility.
