Resumo: One of the activities most performed by man is commuting. Even with the advancement of technological development, it continues to use reference points to locate and orient itself safely, recognizing where it is, identifying where it wants to go and choosing the best path. The most used sensory system to recognize these landmarks in an environment is a vision and for this reason society is presented as displayed information. On the other hand, it is known that the possibility of other solutions designed with a human purpose is different, that people with disabilities and/or mobility can also be possible in society independently of human form. In this research, based on the principles of Universal Design and Interaction Design, a tool with guidelines for the elaboration and evaluation of tactile maps of University Campi was developed. The difficulty of this university to move in complex environments such as the study of people in cartography is useful to justify the visual impairment to move in complex environments such as. In order to understand tactile maps are; in Brazil, a procedure organized in three phases was applied: Systematic review of the literature, raising the main concepts used in the work with more consolidated authors in the area, through the collection of semi-structured interviews by representatives of national companies that work with data from map tools, analytical studies of selected analyzes and elaboration of findings, compiling key information; of the tool with guidelines for the elaboration and evaluation of maps. The results of studies present a presentation of the main elements of accessibility to people with visual characteristics.
