Resumo: Introduction: The aging of the population comprises a challenging reality for all societies. Before this issue reveals many difficulties, such as the tendency of fragmentation of the family with distancing between the generations, what impacts on family relationships and in household functions of the elderly, reflecting negatively on intergenerational relations. In this context, the intergenerational education stands out as a powerful strategy for the promotion of active aging, by means of improving the quality of life and relations between people, contributing to the construction of a society with solidarity bonds stronger. Thus, considering the challenges and the social pressures that may arise from the process of population aging, the digital games are not just a strategy to connect different generations, but also provide benefits to all involved, such as the facilitation for communication, cooperation, and shared learning. Objectives: Highlight the scientific production on the benefits of intergenerational programs in the promotion of relations between children and the elderly; identify the opinion of the elderly on interactive activities with children; develop a digital game for children and the elderly. Method: It is an exploratory research with a qualitative approach developed in three stages: in the first, it was performed an integrative review, using the following descriptors: Aged; Child; Relationship between Generations and Education, whereas the term Boolean AND; and the keywords: Intergeracionalidade, Gerontological Education and Intergenerational Programs, with their corresponding in English and Spanish. In the second stage we conducted a survey with 30 children in a public school, and 30 elderly people, in a care institution, in the municipality of João Pessoa - Paraiba. The data were collected from semi-structured interviews submitted to the technique of thematic content analysis, emerging, thus, four categories: opinions of children and elderly on intergenerational interaction; opinion of the elderly on participation in activity with children; types of suggested activities for the elderly to interact with children; placement of children and elderly on the use of an intergenerational digital game. In the third step, the results obtained by the survey supported the development of a digital game to promote play interaction between children and the elderly and facilitate intergenerational communication. Results: There was a good acceptance of children and the elderly to use a digital game and that children tend to use this form of entertainment, most of the times through mobile, and see in this tool an opportunity to explore and interact together. Conclusion: It is expected that the proposed game encourages greater interaction, reinforcing positive feelings, for a healthy and invigorating intergenerational interaction from the point of view of social and affective.
