Resumo: In this studyaddressedquestionsabout issuesthat involvecultural mediation, the teaching of visual artsandnon-formal education. This is thedescription andanalysis of the developmentof educational practicesofcultural mediationheldat the Centro CulturalBanco do Nordestein Brazil-CCBNB/Caririin the city ofJuazeiro do Norte, which since 2006 has been promotingcultural activitiesin the differentartistic languages,for the general public. The objectivesthat guidedthis researchincludeidentifyingthe concept that theCCBNB/Caririhas onthe educational practicesofcultural mediationin their facilities, identify the profile ofcultural mediatorwhoworkedtherein 2009; understandrelationshipsbetween the institutionand the mediator, emphasize the training requirements of professional anddescribe andanalyze educational practicesundertaken by himin that institution.The work, set up asacase studywas conductedwith the intencion of heartheprotagonists of thesepractices. To this end,we opted forqualitative research tocollect data, using a strategy ofsemi-structured interview, the life historyandpersonal testimony. The discussions arecontextualized fromthe account of theauthor's experiencewith the teaching ofvisual arts, motivationalresearch, the conception ofnon-formal educationandbrief historyof mediation incultural institutions. It is still add up the comment about the cultural constitutionof the regionwherethe institutionhas implementedfocused.As a result, the researchpresentclarification onhow the activitiesof cultural mediationinCCBNB/Carirideveloped, both from the standpointof the institution asthe professionals whoworkedtherein the lightof their conceptionsof cultural mediation.
