The practice of physical exercises by pregnant women brings numerous benefits to the mother-baby binomial. However, this topic is still little discussed and encouraged by professionals. Many pregnant women have a sedentary lifestyle related to different motivations. Therefore, it is important to know the profile, understand the reason for not practicing and develop strategies to promote the practice of physical exercises during pregnancy. Objectives: To build an educational booklet for the promotion of physical exercises to pregnant women. Methodology: This is a methodological and technological development study, developed in two stages, in order to meet the proposed objectives: 1) Scientific research that aimed to characterize the profile of pregnant women who do not practice physical exercises, through the application of a questionnaire applied by Google Forms; 2) Technological development, in the format of producing a booklet, which was prepared from the answers to the questionnaire and scientific evidence found in the scientific literature. The study was developed between June and December of 2021. Results: the scientific research carried out through the application of the form made it possible to identify the profile of pregnant women who do not practice physical exercises. Thus, it was evidenced that they are mostly married, have completed higher education and family income above three minimum wages. The most common reasons for not practicing physical exercises were lack of time to go to the gym and absence of the habit of practicing physical exercise. As for the production of the booklet, it was developed from the reality verified by the responses of pregnant women and designed to promote the practice of physical exercises according to the reality imposed by their daily lives, in which photographs were used to expose the correct way to perform the exercises. exercises, combined with a text with easy-to-understand language and an inviting layout for practice. Final considerations: A booklet was prepared that promotes the practice of physical exercises for pregnant women according to their realities, approaching the reasons why they do not practice. It is important to develop actions and products that boost health promotion in view of the multiple benefits that the practice of physical exercise triggers for the mother-baby binomial. Product and its applicability: To build an educational booklet for the promotion of physical exercises to pregnant women, that are easy to access, understand and simple to implement, drives health education actions. It is concluded that the booklet developed is an important strategy for the promotion of physical exercises for pregnant women and can be used and encouraged by health services. |
