Resumo: |
The recurrence of teenage pregnancy is a worrying reality in Brazil. Countless girls have the experience of having more than one child, aged between 10 and 19 years. Socioeconomic and demographic factors are associated with this recidivism, in which there is a greater probability of unfavorable maternal and neonatal outcomes. This theme is in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) for the 2030 agenda, it includes item 10.2, which provides for ensuring universal access to sexual and reproductive health services, including family planning, information and education. The proposed study is also part of the Ministry of Health's Research Priorities Agenda: Axis 14 - Maternal and Child Health. Objectives: Build educational material in the format of a video documentary about the experience of pregnancy recurrence in adolescence. To achieve this, it was necessary to: Elucidate the experience of adolescent women regarding the recurrence of pregnancy at this stage of development; Identify risk factors for the recurrence of teenage pregnancy; Understand the main repercussions of experiencing two or more teenage pregnancies.Methodological Path: Technological development research, carried out in two concomitant stages. The first was a qualitative, exploratory and retrospective study, in which five adult women who had experienced at least two teenage pregnancies participated. Data were obtained through semi-structured interviews, which were recorded in audio and video and, subsequently, a content analysis. The second stage was building the technology. The material analyzed in the interviews was used as a guideline for the construction/editing of the documentary video. Results: the recurrence of pregnancy in adolescence is a complex phenomenon, in which several factors can be considered predictors of pregnancy recurrence, including little knowledge about different contraceptive methods, low education, lack of intra-family communication about sexuality, lack of opportunities in the face of poverty and residence in a rural context, in addition to a community culture that naturalizes early pregnancy. Final considerations: The teaching material reveals a difficult and lonely experience for adolescents. Early motherhood leaves psychic marks and definitely changes the future, especially in terms of education and economic conditions. Product and applicability: The documentary video is an educational device for promoting reproductive health/family planning. It is understood that in times of technology, videos tend to be more attractive to teenage audiences, capturing the attention of young people. This product will have an impact in the short term, as it is innovative and easily applicable throughout the country. It is available for free on YouTube and can be used in schools, health services and in the training of new health professionals. |
