Resumo: The school is a privileged enviroment for health education actions. In Brazil, the Health in School Program (PSE) aims to bring closer the education and health sectors, with participation of different professionals from these areas. However, this integration still presents as a challange to be faced since beyond the need for futhers integration, professionals from outside the school need to build effective partnerships with the educational team of the school. As a possibility, beyond the proposal of joint actions, there is the need to explore the conceptions of there professionals in order to qualify and strenghten this integration process. In this perspective it’s belived that health education, focused in the interprofessional work can be an effective strategy to promote permanent reconstruction of knowledge and practices. Therefore the objective of this work was to evaluate the conceptions of a pedagogical team about educational activites developed in the school setting with participation of an interprofessional health team and identify necessities in health and education, in order to build an interprofessional health work. This work took place at an elementary school in the central region of the Rio Grande do Sul estate in Brazil in which attend to children in socioeconomic vulnerability, from april 2018 to december 2019. The method used was Thiollent action research and adapted to six steps. Health assessments were conducted and data was collected from 115 children wich included Body Mass Index, visual acuity and dental assessment. Also participated from this study eight members of the pedagogical team. Data regarding the children health were summarized and presented to the pedagogical team, helping to subzidise the analyzis of conceptions of the pedagogical team regarding healt and education in school environment. The chosen research method for data collection with the pedagogical team was the focal group that consisted of four meetings. Those were recorded, transcribed, and analyzed using the textual discourse analysis of Moraes and Galiazzi. The results were organized in two papers titled “School health education under the optics of the pedagogical team” and “Health in the school setting: outlining interprofessional actions through action research”. Conception analysis resulted in the construction of two metatexts and subsidised the analysis process of the school demands and health actions in the school enviroment, leading to a readequation in the intervention strategies. Activities were developed to provide qualification of the pedagogical team allowing them a higher degree of autonomy. Also was done the forwarding of students with possible issues to the municipal health system. Hereby we expect that this work can subsidize other research and extension activities regarding health promotion in different contexts. It is also expected that this study can promote the realization of new research with intervention potential since the complementary stages of action research involved the students, the pedagogical team, health students and the managers of the municipal health program, denoting an intersectoral work logic.
