Resumo: |
This research is about motherhood and the return to work, and also about the construction of a video about the challenges of contemporary women. Maternity protection has been a fundamental issue for the International Labor Organization (ILO) since its creation in 1919. This protection is given in the sense of safeguarding the health of the mother and her son or daughter, as well as protecting the worker from any discrimination based on her status as a mother. In Brazil, maternity leave is provided for in the Federal Constitution and CLT. Objectives: to know how professional nursing mothers, on maternity leave, perceive their return to work and create a video as a strategy to guide and support professional nursing mothers who have returned from maternity leave. Methodology: development study that includes an investigative phase and the development of the product, based on previously collected data. Data collection took place through an individual interview with nurses and nursing technicians who work at a Teaching Hospital located in the Central Region of the State of Rio Grande do Sul, from May to June 2021. Five working mothers participated in this study. in the field of nursing, aged between 18 and 45, nurses or nursing technicians. The research has a qualitative approach, in which data were analyzed from the construction of analysis categories. The video production stage had the contribution of professionals specialized in the video production area. The technology development took place in three phases: pre-production, production and post- production of the video. Results: The results are presented in the format of two manuscripts. The first, entitled “Maternity and the return to work of nursing professionals at a teaching hospital in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul”, presents the scientific research. The second manuscript, entitled “Heart farther from the breast: motherhood and the return to work of nursing professionals”, contemplates the development of technical production. Conclusions: returning to work is a delicate period, as it involves the separation between the mother and the baby, as the mother is already used to spending the entire day with her child and there is concern about her well-being. In return, there may have been changes in the workplace, which could generate an initial displacement, which will be overcome with the help of everyone working in the organization, adapting over time. These women now demand an effort to reconcile motherhood with the challenges of work. Organizations must provide conditions for mothers to be welcomed on their return. Society must guarantee motherhood and, at the same time, the right to working conditions, as a result of female emancipation. |
