Resumo: This research was developed in the Graduate Program in Education of the Federal University of Mato Grosso, Cuiabá campus, in the Culture, Memory and Theories of Education Research Line and is part of the umbrella project entitled The construction of social knowledge by children: study on childhood experiences and meanings, within the Child Psychology Research Group. It is an investigative exercise based on a psychosocial approach, in which it seeks to identify and understand the representational contents about death and about children, shared by educators, considering them as guiding elements of educational practices that deal with the announcement of the finitude of life. for children in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic in Cuiabá-MT. The theoretical-reflective elaborations woven are based on the approximations between the theory of social representations (MOSCOVICI, 1978, 1981, 2003), based on an ontogenetic approach (DUVEEN; LLOYD, 2008); and historical-cultural theory (VIGOTSKI, 2000; 2009; 2010). The stage of data production was carried out in a remote environment via a platform for online communication privileging five by educators of children. To access these participants, the research used the profile on the social networks of the character Dra. Ana Tsuru, referring to the project Conversa with Drª Ana Tsuru, characterized as a formative environment guided by symbolic exchanges that promote the social representation of children as social actors whose production of meanings contribute to the construction of the reality of death in the context of the pandemic. The research methodology was inspired by conducting a semi-structured interview, adapted for a remote approach (MENDES, 2009); characterized as an exploratory case study (MARKOVÁ, 2017). As an auxiliary mode of data production, the technique Life on a Thread was used (DA SILVA FREIRE; DOS SANTOS; LOPES, 2017) whose support function for the organization of thought acted in the production of synthesis images of the representational content. The data were analyzed comprehensively and organized around thematic axis delineated from the triangulation of the semantic references and their recurrence considering the dialectic unity of meaning and meaning. The results of the study address two relevant dimensions: 1. the representational aspects and their subjective implications in the context of the pandemic and 2. the methodology oriented to the imagery production as a support for the study of the objectifications. Regarding the representational content, there is a double strangeness: the interaction of children with death in a pandemic society. promoting negotiation of meanings about life and death in which adults presented a sense of perplexity in face of reality, an aspect that triggered the process of socio-cognitive and affective reconstruction of reality. The dynamics observed and characterized in eight thematic axis revealed, on the one hand, the recurrent anchoring in religious narratives and on the other, a reflective process that started from a representation of a child as being fragile and helpless in the face of the announcement of death (for the child ), moving on to the announcement of death by the child, either through affirmations or questions, until it reaches the direction of announcing death with the child, in the perspective of dialogicity. The methodology oriented to the imagery production, as support to the study of objectifications, acted in the imminence of the elaboration of the speech, often conductor of the verbal elaboration, being possible to identify the first two phases of the objectification process - selective construction and structuring schematization.
