Resumo: The process of integrating economic, social and cultural brought by globalization and the trend of formation of economic blocs brought out the cliché of a borderless world, down trade barriers, free movement of goods, services, capital and people, with the bureaucracy of the right to come and go. In this perspective, the border was once seen as the cutting line, limit national sovereignty, is perceived as a place of contact, coexistence and cooperation. From the concept of viability of Rota Pantanal Pacific, but also because of the impossibility of studying all boundaries described in its route, the border zone Caceres / Brazil and San Matías / Bolivia was chosen as the study area in order to demonstrate that neighboring countries, with different laws, however, with great tourism potential, can enhance cooperation and cross-border integration, from the economic activity of tourism. From the standpoint of theory and method, analyzes were based, especially from three geographical categories, namely: the territory, the landscape and the border. The Comparative Law was also a method of analysis, based on which it sought to interpret and harmonize legislation focused on tourism, in order to facilitate the integration process. The dissertation is eminently conceptual and have not been made questionnaires or interviews. From the bibliography elected and information gathered integrationist proposals were prepared, aiming to integrate the border zone Caceres / Brazil and San Matías / Bolivia, to intensify cross-border tourism. At the end, we intend to promote a reflection on the concept of the border as well as understand the process of “refunctionalization” showed that the permeability and flexibility for these regions. The topic is of importance as it integrates matogrossense regional context and discusses relevant subject for Geography. Furthermore, the survey allows an interdisciplinary dialogue between two social sciences, geography and law and has been the subject of frequent debate in national and international events, as well as being a concern from government which has provided the creation of development programs in borders.
