ÍNDICES AMBIENTAIS COMO FERRAMENTA DE EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL NO CURRÍCULO ESCOLAR DE UMA ESCOLA DE ENSINO MÉDIO

Resumo: This research is related to a set of social, scientific, technological and educational demands, focused on the benefits of the Environmental Indexes identified in Mato Grosso do Sul. Considering the importance of this theme for the environmental issue and Environmental Education (EE), the investigation had The general objective is to organize and evaluate the didactic transposition of environmental indexes in the composition of themes and curricular contents for secondary education, through EA with a focus on the local reality. The research universe was a public school, where as a teacher I was able to apply environmental indices as an activity in the school's curriculum. The investigation had a qualitative approach, whose methodology included the identification and use of students' environmental representations and perceptions. Data production took place in 03 1st year classes, with 36 students each, totaling the participation of 108 students. To transpose the theme, 05 axes/themes were produced in the activities and this also produced high numbers of evocations in all these themes. As a result, we identified that the students' representations/perceptions in relation to the proposed themes were diverse, rich and memorable in relation to the intensity of coverage and the students were able to interpret all the themes in a very consistent way, showing relevant socio-environmental concerns, experience and knowledge on environmental issues relating to environmental indices. It is noted that human representations in the landscape were present in the images produced by students in all themes, even if sometimes hidden, but well represented in some way, as they showed anthropic occupations and pointed out necessary responsibilities of humans towards the question. Most of the time, the images clearly presented disastrous scenes, with the environment completely compromised by the element studied with a focus on: deforestation and deforestation equipment; areas on fire due to human actions; anthropized areas leaving biodiversity at the mercy; a lot of air and water pollution by different means and untreated effluents dumped into the watercourse. With this, we strive for Urgent Environmental Education that addresses the demands of the environments.
