Resumo: |
Since the sixties, a crisis has intensified, which is no longer in isolated areas, but a real threat to the survival of humanity, perhaps even the biosphere. The environmental theme became one of the most discussed subjects of the moment. A paradigm shift is the path that theorists have advocated for the transformation of Society. Environmental Education aims to change thoughts and attitudes, making people more critical of the true causes of environmental degradation. The school plays a fundamental role in incorporating new values and a more critical view. In the present work, it is proposed the analysis of the approach of Environmental Education addressed in two public schools (state and municipal) in the city of Maracanaú (Ceará) with the objective of evaluating their similarities and differences, having as specific objectives to identify the perceptions about environment environment and Environmental Education, to verify the main impasses and challenges in the administration of Environmental Education in the institutions, to present and to discuss results with the pedagogical coordination, the students and the parents of students of each school after the end of the research and to propose suggestions in the mentioned debate. The schools were chosen for being prominent in environmental work. From this perspective, the methodology used included participative observation, immersion in the field and application of structured questionnaires. Important results were obtained as all students see themselves as members of the environment, while 78% of Liceu students say that small daily actions are the most important factor for environmental conservation, but 61% believe that their inclusion in the environmental issue little relevance. |
