Resumo: The commodification of art has generated a dissident movement who has been using art as a tool for social change. One of the most prominent ways to discuss art as a commodity is using artistic processes to promote the urban space appropriation and the autonomy. Beyond the simple aesthetic public insertion in an art piece, thisdissertation aims to understand what are the possibilities and limits of the collective creation through artistic processes into people's lived experience. The hacker culture here is suggested as a fundamental part and it's an inspiration for the opening for empowerment on space. These discussions were developed under the light of two practical works, both exposed to the public. The first deals with the do-it-yourself hacker's ethics and about virtuality. The second elaborates about questions related to the urban space and the space empowerment. The objective is both analyze some possibilities, and document openly the creation process and the work publishing.
