Resumo:	One of the goals of this dissertation is to understand some properties and theorems of classic convex billiards that are twist maps whose generating function is the distance between two hits. In addition, we will introduce the symplectic billiards, which differ from classic billiards by their generating function, which is calculated by area and not by distance. We will see that they also configure an example of twist maps and we will exhibit similar results of symplectic billiards to classical billiards.
