Resumo: The research “Pedagogical Experiences about the Indigenous theme – the Torah racing of the indigenous tribe Ramkokamekrá Canela”, is a teaching practice that is linked to the PROFARTES Graduate Program, Professional Master's Degree at the Federal University of Maranhão / UFMA / UDESC. The object of this research refers to music, culture and the dynamics of log running between the Ramkokamekrá Canela - MA. In this sense, the line of research to which this study is integrated is called “Theoretical-Methodological Approaches of Teaching Practices”. The general objective is to analyze, based on ethnomusicology, the singing of the Ràmkôkamẽkra Canela people from the village Escalvado (MA) in the context of the Race with Logs, relating indigenous culture and education. To this end, the research site is the Village of the Ramkokamekrá Canela Indigenous People in Escalvado, Barra do Corda - MA is the Federal Institute of Science and Technology Education of Maranhão (IFMA) - Pedreiras Campus, where the work was developed with students Medium-Technical in the integrated modality, in the period from 2017 to 2020. The scientific problem of the research consists in verifying how the study of the Ramkokamekrá Canela ethnomusicality can contribute to a greater knowledge of the indigenous culture in the classroom, allowing a greater applicability of the educational legislation on indigenous themes. In this sense, they base this study: Bastos, Barros, Crocker, Nimuendaju, Paio, Piedade, Ribeiro, among others, A relationship is made between music and the Race with Tora, as they are the most routine and everyday rituals in the life of the Ramkokamekrá people Cinnamon. The main cultural aspects of the Ramkokamekrá Canela are located. There is talk of Tora Running and its use in everyday life and festivities. The main songs used in the ritual run with Tora are described and analyzed. It shows the teachers' pedagogical experiences on indigenous themes in the classroom. It reports the history of the pedagogical work carried out at IFMA. The methodological procedures that supported this research were bibliographic, descriptive, with a qualitative focus, through a field research. Talking about research in ethnomusicology immediately leads to the question of ethnography and fieldwork practices. For data collection, bibliographical surveys for this research are cited, which were made from books, articles, theses, dissertations, semi-structured questionnaires, testimonies with indigenous people from the village of Ramkokamekrá Canela, videos, musical recordings and photographs for record that surrounded themselves with the theme to complement and theoretically base the development of the study. Based on that, the data is analyzed and interpreted, involving the systematization of information, through graphics and photographs. From this perspective, learning strategies and routing are proposed for the creation of nuclei / groups for the study of indigenous culture in schools, through which activities that can be developed inside and outside the classroom are suggested, with the assumption of valuing and the ethnic strengthening of indigenous peoples, activities that will contribute to encourage work with indigenous issues at school.
