Resumo: In the recent period, workers have suffered from a process in capitalism of devaluation of work, in order to generate even more value through increased extraction of surplus value. In a movement where work is increasingly precarious and devalued, with the adoption of a new exploration environment, the so-called “digital platforms”. The present study sought to investigate the impacts of adopting digital platforms as mediators of the labor relations of couriers operating in São Luís, making a time record for the period from 2021 to 2022. A review of the existing literature on the subject under analysis was carried out. to base the theoretical stage of the research and in the empirical stage, data related to the investigated questions were analyzed, in order to apply the theoretical concepts in reality, through the formulation and organization of data collection instruments. Finally, it was concluded that the current configuration of capitalism, the so-called platform capitalism, imposes new challenges on workers and makes it imperative to develop new forms of resistance, given that work on platforms is an environment that is too difficult for the worker to guarantee its reproduction.
