Resumo: | It was the main objective of this research to analyze the impacts in the formation of students who make part of Social Responsibility actions developed by the extension programs and projects of the Directorate of Extension (DIREX) and Department of Extension and Community Affairs (DEAC) of the Federal Center of Technological Education Celso Suckow of Fonseca (CEFET/RJ) in order to identify whether this education institution fulfills its social role in the formation of ethical and socially responsible citizens, able to contribute to development in a sustainable basis. The study elements of this work are the mentors and fellows students or volunteers who act in the extension projects registered at the Directorate of Extension CEFET/RJ (DIREX) in 2013. It was observed that the extension projects and programs of CEFET/RJ collaborate in training professional citizens able to face the principles of sustainable development. The Extension Program of CEFET/RJ opens its actions to students of different levels of education and everyone has opportunity to exercise social responsibility activities. The academic community believes that Social Responsibility is a duty of the institution. They also believe that the RS should not be encouraged only in the higher education but in every education level. That RS should do intrinsically part of the structures of the institution, in order to be part of the hidden curriculum and they also believe that it s a rule of extension to contribute to the training of professional citizenship facing the principles of Sustainable Development . |
