Resumo: Lately, there have been significant transformations in relations between state, civil society, business and environment, thus contributing to the incorporation of social responsibility in the field of that the University faces the challenge of providing a broader training, focused not only in scientific expertise, but also the principles of ethics and citizenship. This study attempts to identify impacts and repercussions on the education of students who have rallied for Social Responsibility, developed programs and Extension Projects. This is a case study on the Programs and Extension Projects, coordinated by the Dean of Extension, Fluminense Federal University. In field research made use of questionnaires and interviews with coaches, managers, supervisors, and especially students who participate in Extension activities. Emphasis was placed on qualitative data using the method of reflective analysis and synthesis. Presents as a result four relational models constructed from the theoretical. In the field research were evaluated based on the actions associated with indicators of social responsibility, structured on the basis of guidelines established by the National Assessment of Higher Education in order to characterize the processes of recognition, management, dissemination and institutional incentive. The analysis carried out showed that the involvement with actions to promote greater social responsibility approach and commitment of students with social and environmental issues, helping transform them into professionals /citizens
