Resumo: The Cariri of Ceara has long been regarded as the scene of numerous manifestations, are a religious, political, economic or cultural. This circuit triggers regional cultural effervescence that include various forms and common practices. The Cariri is the focus of this study, therefore, as the site of origin of most Cabaçais bands of the State of Ceara. The main objective of this study is to understand how to develop relationships between Cabaçais bands of the Cariri of Ceara and a series of cultural contacts of the circuit. For agents interlocutors take this circuit, which includes the Centro Cultural Banco do Nordeste (CCBNB), the cultural sectors of the Social Service of Commerce (SESC) and the Municipal Culture (Secults), which is the main source of dialogue for construction of this work. Understanding how these people resignify the concept of popular culture and how these people influence on the resignifications reworking of this traditional cultural practice is the motto of this work. The contribution here is intended to cover built into a debate about the practices of the Cabaçais bands on the concept of popular culture beyond any kind of classification and / or restriction. The way adopted here considers cultures, traditions and expressions are permeated by the inherent mutability and hybridity of the globalized world.
