Resumo: |
This study had the main objective to study the elements/mechanisms that structured cultural practices from the selfie phenomenon widely disseminated on social networks. As specific objectives, the study allowed us to understand which languages are mobilized for the composition of biographical narratives in social media; interpret the man`s relationship with the cultural memory from the representation of yourself through images; and investigate the process of production, dissemination and consumption of selfie in social media as part of composition of identity. The methodology used was a literature review which allowed a epistemological divisions and, from this process, we selected and developed a categorization of selfies published on Instagram produced in front of the mirror. From indicative of analysis related to a sample of images, we conclude that the digital self-portrait - included his creative process, publishing and consumption - is a symptom of contemporary culture and which pulsate senses, memories and ancestral stories that revive and maintain alive the cultural imagination. |
