Resumo: |
The dissertation deals with the theme: sustainability practices and its institutionalization in the organization: The case of the company Polijuta Embalagens in the research line in strategy of the Program in Post-Graduation in Administration, Professional Master in Administration of UNICENTRO. We sought to identify the levels of sustainability practices and its institutionalization in the organization. The research is quantitative, using Likert scale questionnaire of five points, adapted from Scandelari studies (2011); Kühl (2012); Lima (2013); Borges (2013) and Lima (2008). The questionnaires were applied directly to the organization, and no software was used for the application of the questionnaire due to the difficulty of access by most of the employees of the organization, since employees of different levels of education. The sample corresponds to 249 questionnaires applied to the organization's employees, in a non-probabilistic manner and for convenience. Then, 244 were valid questionnaires, and 5 were excluded because they were incomplete. The questionnaires were divided into four blocks: Block 1 - profile of individuals, Block 2 - Process of institutionalization, Block 3 - related to the practices of the organization, Block 4 - aimed at the individual with commitment towards sustainability. All data were subjected to statistical analysis by the software Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS), with analysis of means and standard deviations, Cronbach's alpha, cluster analysis, t-test and ANOVA (Analysis Variance). The cluster analysis identified three clusters, both for the institutionalization process and for the sustainable practices, called High, Moderate and Reduced. The three groups have in common, greater perception in the economic dimension, followed by the environmental dimension and finally the social dimension. It can be observed that the economic dimension is the most noticeable by employees, in which the organization aims to achieve profits and preserve maintain its activities. However, the economic dimension should not have reduced importance, but should be worked out jointly with the other dimensions In the process of institutionalization of all groups obtained the lowest average in Sedimentation phase, this way, it can infer that the practices have not yet taken shape within the organization in order to reach all employees. In this way, it is understood that the organization is in the process of habitualization and in the pre-sustainability phase, since it exerts some practices within the organization, but in an isolated way, without interconnection between the dimensions of sustainability. As a contribution, it is hoped that this study can contribute to the organization to integrate the dimensions of sustainability and inform its employees about existing practices within the organization, so as to insert them in such practices. |
