This research is of an exploratory nature and it searches for some contributions for Afro- Brazilian Studies Program, which has by objective to revise the production of knowledge and the appreciation of History and Afro-Brazilian and African Culture. The question to be investigated concerns to the black professional people from different areas, and committed with the fight against racism and discrimination that propose as fundamental in their respective areas of knowledge and / or work for consisting an Afro-Brazilian Studies Program. For that were interviewed five professionals in the following areas: Chemistry, Biology, Dance, Music and Journalism. It was made some interviews, consisting by fifteen issues. In these analyses, we sought for identify what knowledge, values and attitudes that a program should encompass. Among others aspects, all participants believe that a program like this is very important for the black population feel included and valued not only in school curriculum, but also in the society, and with that occurs an increasing in the self-esteem and strengthening of the ethnicracial identity of this group. |
