Resumo: |
This work intends to analyze the function of diaries as objects of elaboration and in the elaboration of some literary works and specific movements. Starting from a reflection on ''the craft of poetry'' in Elias Canetti (2011) within the ''contemporary'' in Giorgio Agamben (2007), the texts follow in order to reflect upon specific functions of some author's diaries (including of characters) inside or outside of a work (or the diaries themselves), whichever functions may be chosen here: the diary as a enabler of memories and fictions of an expatriate Thomas Mann (2001); the diary of the character Roquentin, in Nausea (SARTRE, 2006), as a platform of philosophical reflection and object of research and reading in itself; the diary of Maura Lopes Cançado as a possible ally in the transposition of hospice walls (2015); the diaries of Lima Barreto, be it the intimate (2001), or the asylum ones (2017) as the restoration point of a stereotyped and belittled author at his time; Roland Barthes' mourning diary in dialogue with Elias Canetti's intimate notes about death (2009), in the form of conclusion — and many other contemporary ways. |
