Resumo: |
Education, quite before being recognized as Science, since the most ancient civilizations, has always been considered as fundamental for the improvement of man both in a perspective of a natural person and in a social natural perspective, once it primarily allows him to observe and understand the phenomena around himself e, secondly, to conceive perspectives of development for personal and social satisfaction. Unquestionably, it’s a fact that education provided humanity with all present conquests and achievements, in the most various fields, such as politics, economy, technology, philosophy and law, to mention a few. In such dimension and importance, education called for juridical protection, becoming a protected right by Universal Declaration of Human Rights and, within the Constitutional State of Law, a fundamental right for man. The Brazilian Republic Federation, as a Democratic State of Law, under the protection of the Federal Constitution of 1988, recognized education as fundamental social right, to be developed by the State trough public policies, as a way to make it possible for the citizen to reach human dignity, a basis of the Brazilian constitutional juridical system, so that knowledge and equality universalisation become a reality amongst people, no matter their personal or social conditions, including youngsters and adults who did not have access to education within the period defined by the Brazilian Law of Directives and Bases of Education. As such, education should be spread over all the groups that portray the Brazilian reality, including the prison system communities of youngsters and adults who make the relevant numbers of people who can, through education, obtain a social reinsertion by self valorization and qualification. Thus, the present work aims to analyze the educational policies developed by the government, as a measure of redemption and valorization of the human life, with the purpose of making it possible to provide human dignity in the community of the prison system of Piauí. |
