Retórica e política: análise do discurso do Ex-Presidente Jair Bolsonaro e integrantes do governo e suas estratégias argumentativas de apelo ao poder

Resumo: On April 22, 2020, a meeting was held ate the Palácio do Planalto, in the Federal District in Brasilia, between the former President of the Republic, Jair Messias Bolsonaro and his teams of ministers, to discuss a project to resume economic development, after the Coronavirus pandemic, called the Pro Brasil Project. The meeting whose agenda was to list the actions to be taken by the government to resume economic development in Brazil, ended up becoming known for the remarkable presentatios of argumentative strategies in defense of the government and its political interests. The objective of this research is to analyze the argumentative strategies used by the former President of the Republic and by some ministers, to legitimize the search for support to political power instead of arguing in favor of na econimic recovery project for the country. To this end, the speeches of some members of the government team were analyzed, namely the former Chief Minister of the Civil House Walter Souza Braga Neto; the former Minister of Economy Paulo Roberto Nunes Guedes; former Minister of Health Nelson Luiz Sperle Teich; the former minister of public security, Sérgio Moro and the former President of the Republic, Jair Messias Bolsonaro. After analyzing excerpts from President Jair Bolsonaro's speech by the ministers cited during the meeting, it was possible to identify the constitutive elements of the rhetoric used as persuasive strategies. The theoretical basis consulted for the research is constituted by the authors, Amossy (2016), Ferreira (2010), Perelman and Olbrechts-Tyteca (2000), Reboul (2004) and Tringali (2014). Through the analyzes carried out, it is possible to observe that the speakers made greater use of fallacious arguments than logical arguments that aimed to emphasize the importance of supporting the government and the political struggle, that the fight against the public health crisis that Brazil was facing
