Resumo: |
This thesis is part of the research line “Text and speech in the oral and written modalities”, of the Graduate Program in Portuguese Language at the Pontifical Catholic University of São Paulo, and has as theme the constitution of the female identity in lyrics popular songs, composed by male speakers. Thus, we seek to answer the following research problem: How is the identity of womens constituted in the popular songs of the 21st century, created by composers from the North region? The justification of the work is related to the need to highlight the constitution of the female identity in research on women in Amapá, because, according to a survey carried out in the theses banks of the Federal University of Amapá (UNIFAP) and University of the State of Amapá (UEAP), there are no studies on the subject from the perspective of rhetoric. For this research to be possible, we made a brief historical tour of the Amazon region, the state of Amapá, the Rhetoric of Music, the Amapaense Music and the Rhetoric theory. The overall objective is to contribute for rhetorical studies in portuguese language about the constitution of the identity of woman from amapá in popular songs. Regarding the specific objectives, the following stand out: classify and compare the types of ethé used in the lyrics of popular songs; and to identify, describe and analyze the argumentative techniques used in the lyrics of popular songs in the construction of the identity of woman from amapá. The corpus consists of the lyrics of five songs: Igarapé das Mulheres, of Osmar Junior (1990); Negro de Nós, of Illan do Laguinho (1998); Meninas da Amazônia, of Antenor Lopes, Walber Silva and Zé Miguel (2004); Eu sou caboca, of Celso Viáfora and Joazinho Gomes (2009); and Mulheres da Floresta, of Fernando Canto and Zé Miguel (2022). Regarding the theoretical reference, works were chosen pertaining to Rhetoric and Argumentation, such as those of Aristotle (2003), Reboul (2004), Meyer (2007), Perelman and Olbrechts-Tyteca (2014), Fiorin (2014; 2015) and Ferreira (2015). The results of the qualitative and comparative analysis reveal that the argumentative mechanisms contribute significantly to the process of building the ethos of the amapaense woman |
