This master's research aims to create a script for a film-essay based on the literary and life trajectory of poet Adélia Prado from Minas Gerais. My intention with this work is to research the creation processes that involve the making of essay documentaries. The process of creating the script for the film-essay will consist of: 1) reading of the poems; on the topic of racing heart (according to the organization of the book Reunited Poetry); 2) selection of 10 poems; 3) cartography of the imagery of the selected poems; 4) intersemiotic translation of poems. The study of cartography will support the creation of the script for the film-essay. In the work plan, I went in search of the concept of film essay, its history, and how this audiovisual product fits into the space of cinema and art. We also went in search of authors who, when conceptualizing the film-essay, discussed the nature of literary essays since its beginnings in the 16th century
