Resumo: |
This work was developed from the study of Trattato del Radio Latino, work that was published in Roma in XVI century and bring information about the construction and use of a measure instrument. Written by Latino Orsini (1517-1586), artisan and inventor of the instrument, the work was commented by Egnatio Danti (1526-1586), erudite and contemporary of Orsini, fact that indicates the approach between the practical knowledge and the scholarly knowledge, one of the particulars of the Renaissance. In the origin of this approach, it is possible to find a new way of looking for the work, conducted by the needs of the bourgeoise, class on the rise this period. It is, therefore, which the object investigated was a measure instrument called Radio Latino. This work has had as goal contributing with the studies about Mathematics History, discussing possible articulations with the teaching of the subject. The research guided up on the works developed by Saito e Dias that discuss the interfaces between the Mathematics History and the teaching of mathematics from the study of the treatise which describes the construction and use of measure instruments. The translation of the Trattato, the reconstruction of the instrument, the simulation of the construction and use, and also the reading of the works that lecture on the historical context of the Renaissance, constituted the methodological procedures of the research and enabled the elaboration of two didactical activities related to teaching of mathematics. Through these activities, we noted that the study of the instrument could promote the articulations between the Mathematics History and the teaching of mathematics |
